Various cultural festivals in Turkiye attract local and foreign tourists with events that reflect the country’s rich history and cultural diversity. One of the most important of these festivals is the International Nasreddin Hodja Festivities, which take place every year in July in the Akşehir district of Konya. Nasreddin Hodja, an important figure of Turkish humor, is known for his witty jokes and witty personality. This festival brings together many artists, theaters, writers and poets from Turkiye and abroad to keep Nasreddin Hodja’s legacy alive. Theater performances, folk dances, exhibitions and panels are organized throughout the festival. In this festival, which is shaped around Nasreddin Hodja’s sense of humor, visitors have the opportunity to get to know the subtle intelligence and witty perspective of Anatolia more closely. Nasreddin Hodja Festivities are not only a fun festival, but also a cultural bridge, bringing people from different geographies together with Turkey’s rich cultural heritage.
About Me

YAREN YILDIRIM
EU YOUTH WORKER
Hello everyone
I'm Yaren! I am 24 years old. I am a senior student of International Relations. I am also an EU Project Assistant. I work as a youth worker at Kültür Eğitim ve Proje Derneği (KEPDER).
I love traveling and getting to know different cultures, both for my work and as a hobby. When visiting different countries, I always feel how valuable it is to meet people and discover their lifestyles, values and beliefs. Photography deepens these experiences even more because each frame offers an opportunity to capture the essence of a culture, which encourages me to think more and learn more about cultural diversity.
