The White Paper on intercultural dialogue “Living together as equals in dignity” represents the tool to promote the culture of democratic dialogue, strengthen participatory citizenship and develop intercultural sensitivity that can encourage the development of appropriate skills in a modern society that shares the principles of an active citizenship that is respectful of diversity. This with the aim of arriving, one day, at a society which, having overcome the concepts of assimilation and multiculturalism, can be characterized as intercultural.
